Here’s the opening of Morten Lauridsen’s beautiful O Magnum Mysterium, which will feature in our concert of Christmas music and carols.

What a fantastic day! 🎶
Thanks to all who joined us for our Come and Sing event- it was so exciting to sing Handel and Mozart with such a great number of singers, and there was such an impressive sound after only an afternoon’s rehearsals!

We hope all who attended had an enjoyable day, and we’d love to see you at a St Peter’s Singers concerts soon!

Special thanks to our director Alex Woodrow for making it such a fun experience for all involved, and to Shaun Turnbull for his excellent organ accompaniment.

A thank you as well to Crafted Cake House for their wonderful mid-rehearsal cupcakes which kept us singing all afternoon!

We're delighted to be peforming as part of the Leeds International Concert Season later this month- join us on Monday 30 October at 1:15pm at Leeds Cathedral for Songs of Serenity and Peace.

Lee Ward will be joining us on organ for this concert, featuring works by MacMillan, Mathias, Stanford, Holst, Howells and Finzi.

Alongside some spectacular and joyfully exuberant outbursts for both choir and organ, this concert will bring some moments of utter tranquillity and peace that maybe only music can offer. Not to mention the best setting ever of the word ‘Amen’ (as voted for by the public on ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter!), in Finzi's Lo, the full final sacrifice.

Admission is free and no booking is required for this concert- we hope you can join us!

A reminder that we’re on the lookout for new singers to join us- particularly tenors, and basses! If you’d like to get involved we’d love to hear from you- we’re a friendly, supportive choir, welcoming both experienced and young singers with talent and commitment to join us.

We’ve got an excellent varied programme lined up for this season already, including a concert at Leeds Cathedral in October as part of the Leeds International Concert Series, and a recital with Manchester Baroque ensemble next year.
