Next concert
Our presentation of Music for Good Friday this year, which was to feature the second performance of Matthew Oglesby and Hannah Stone’s brilliant new Requiem Penthos, has regrettably been postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Once the future becomes clearer, we will fix a new date for the second performance of Penthos.
In the meantime we wish every music-lover good physical and mental health in these troubled times.
Looking for a choir to join in Leeds?
We’re a friendly bunch and welcome both experienced and young singers with talent and commitment to join us.
Reviews

“There was a palpable momentum to Good Friday’s deeply moving performance given by the St Peter’s Singers and the National Festival Orchestra… The vocal line was impeccably counter-balanced by the rich sonorities of the instrumental ensemble.”
“As to be expected, Orchestra of Opera North and St Peter’s Singers deliver the goods with ease and are truly terrific in bringing the narrative into a new and perfect realm.”
Director

Dr Simon Lindley has been Director of Music for St Peter’s Singers ever since the chamber choir was founded in Leeds by Harry Fearnley in 1977.
With a long and distinguished track record as one of Yorkshire’s leading choral directors and organists, Dr Lindley has a string of published compositions and arrangements to his name, notably his Ave Maria, which has been recorded, by Kathryn Jenkins, amongst others.
