Moving, spiritual music by the late Dr Francis Jackson, Sir Edward Bairstow and Philip Moore celebrating the connection between the Minsters of Leeds and York. Sung in homage to Dr Jackson.
This celebration of Ralph Vaughan Williams’ choral music explores some of the colours and sounds of what we now recognize as the greatest and most authentic voice of English music to emerge after the Great War.
The programme encompasses both folksong and some of his most sublime spiritual outpourings.
