French spiritual music from the 20th century
St Peter’s Singers perform french spiritual music by Francis Poulenc and Maurice DuruflĂ© in the stunning setting and acoustics of St Anne’s Cathedral.

Monday 14 March 1.15pm
Leeds Cathedral
Cookridge St, Leeds LS2 8BE
Poulenc’s Quatre motettes pour un temps de pĂ©nitence (Four motets for a time of penitence) provide a surprisingly sensuous and rich opener. DuruflĂ©’s emotionally charged Requiem weaves plainsong melodies into haunting and at times tempestuous moments of musical beauty. You may well leave floating on a couple of inches of clear air!
Don’t miss this chance to take a moment of peace and beauty away from all the noise. Admission is free!
